INTERNSHIP VALUE

This internship made this past summer, one of the best summers I've ever had. The internship experience in general was an eye opening experience. I got to see the and be part of the "real world," and I realized, it was totally different then the student life. For the first two weeks, all that went through my head was that I did not want to leave school, that I wanted to be able to take random naps, go to the gym and just party. It took about two weeks for me to become adjusted to the "real world." There is no skipping of classes, or changing who your teacher (manager) is. However, the internship allowed me to come to this realization, that my time was coming to grow up, and let me get a taste of the "real world" and be professional. Being in the working environment, you learn how to interact with people. Being interpersonal is very important, and it is something you will learn to do if you aren't already through your internship. I believe having this internship definitely help me mature as a person and a student. My interactions with people have completely changed, and I am able to communicate with anyone. I also feel that as a student, it taught me how important education is, and that even after I graduate, I will be taking classes or tests trying to learn more to stay competitive in the market. As the saying goes, knowledge is power!
