My summer internship was an amazing experience that included many challenges and lessons. I learned many new Java technologies and programming techniques, including the following:

• Lucene
• Nutch
• Ant
• JUnit
• Rome
• Quartz
• Spring
• Hibernate

Aspect Oriented Programming was also used for parts of my internship, so I was able to learn about this new paradigm of programming. I also learned much more about Linux, since that is the platform of choice for development.

I recommend every Computer Science student enroll into an internship wherever they can get one, because it opens so many doors of opportunity and knowledge.
